Just before Christmas Heesen delivered their latest 47 m displacement yacht AIR, a sister ship to LET IT BE, YALLA, RAASTA, MON DESIR and BLIND DATE. The yacht´s first port of call on her maiden voyage was Gibraltar where Giovanni Romero took the first photos of this elegant yacht in the morning hours of 25 December.

In July Jörn Prestien was in Riga where he took photos of the very unusual new 41,90 m yacht OLD CAPTAIN, built by the Latvia Yard.

Since July 2010 there are two superyachts named LADY CHRISTINE : the 56 m Oceanco and the new 68 m Feadship. They are now both berthed in the port of Nice, one next to the other. They were built to designs by different designers but the resemblance is amazing!

Lürssen´s new 124 m KATARA seems to have taken her winter quarters in Nice where she joins the 82 m Devenport SARAFSA. 

Today Lürssen did the first sea trials of the 68 m HERMITAGE. Olaf Eggert took the very first running shots of the yacht which is due to be delivered in February 2011.

The new Lürssen KATARA yesterday evening in the Port of Nice.

Today Blohm & Voss finally delivered ECLIPSE. Klaus Gaeth took the photos when the largest yacht in the world left Hamburg. 

Yesterday the 63 m LADY BRITT, launched in October at the Feadship Koninklijke De Vries shipyard in Aalsmeer, went for a sea trial. Hans Esveldt took photos near Rotterdam.

Yesterday the new Lürssen PACIFIC arrived in the Mediterranean for the very first time. Giovanni Romero took photos in Gibraltar, Pacific´s first port of call. Early this morning the new Oceano 7 SEAS followed.

When you search the internet for photos of the former German tug "Atlantic", transformed into the yacht KHOZAM in 1999, you will always find the same image, always in very poor quality and without any photo credit. I finally found out that the photo was taken by Javier Bueno Iturbe and I managed to get in contact with him. He sent me the original versions of the photos and I carefully restored them. You can now purchase these images legally and in a much better quality than seen before on the internet.

A nightshot of a cruising superyacht - mission impossible? I tried to photograph the impossible when yesterday evening RADIANT passed Cap Martin on her way to Monaco.

Ruud and Marcel Coster took excellent photos of the new 88 m MUSASHI during sea trials. It is the largest yacht built by Feadship. MUSASHI will soon be delivered to Larry Ellison as a replacement for his 138 m RISING SUN. Ellison sold his remaining shares in RISING SUN to David Geffen. MUSASHI and RISING SUN have similar vertical windows and both yachts have a basketball court on the aft deck.
