23 November 2018:

DO YOU CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT?

No yacht photos today. Instead some information about a local environmental NGO that I serve as a volunteer member of the executive committee: ASPONA is the only state-recognized organization defending the environment on the French Riviera and more precisely around Menton and Roquebrune Cap Martin, hence between the Principality of Monaco and the Italian border.  We fight against the excessive urbanization of the coastline as well as the destruction of the marine habitat and the still relatively preserved hinterland, but we also develop constructive solutions against daily road chaos and pollution.

All the active members of ASPONA are volunteers and all of our very limited financial resources go directly into our campaigns and initiatives. We do not get any state subsidies and we are not financed by any companies. It is also important to mention that we are not linked to any political parties.

You will find plenty of information about our activities at www.aspona.org as well as on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/ASPONA/  (All information given in French. Please do not hesitate to contact me for translations).

If you think that our activities are worth being supported, you can do so by making a donation by PayPal. Our PayPal account is info@aspona.org . You can also become a member by sending us the annual membership fee of € 30 (please mention “adhesion” as a reference). As a member you will be regularly informed about our activities. If you pay taxes in France, your contributions are tax-deductible.

We are also looking for an experienced environmental jurist who is willing to help us as a volunteer in our legal proceedings.

Thank you for your support!

Yours sincerely, Peter Seyfferth
